The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther Ausf. G (Sd.Kfz. 171) was the final and most produced operational variant of Germany’s iconic Panther medium tank during World War II.
Produced from March 1944 until the end of the war in 1945, around 2,950 units were manufactured by MAN, Daimler-Benz, and MNH.
Primary Armament: It was armed with the 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 gun, famous for its high muzzle velocity and extreme long-range accuracy. It could penetrate the frontal armor of most Allied tanks (Shermans, T-34s) at distances well over 1,000–1,500 meters.
Engine & Power: Powered by a Maybach HL230 P30 23-liter V-12 gasoline engine producing 700 horsepower, giving the 45-ton tank a top road speed of about 46–55 km/h (28–34 mph).
